Brainstorming does not work

An article in Co.Design claims Brainstorming doesn’t work. You are more creative when you work alone. I believe it’s true. When you work alone you are better connected to your inner self. And you can detach yourself from other people’s influence. 

I recently participated in a workshop organized around the concept of brainstorming. What I found was that my ideas got lost. When presenting the groups common idea I didn’t feel for them as I perhaps should.

A better idea is to get people informed, make them be inspired, aware, and then let them do their own thinking. The outcome of that process will be a lot of clean non filtered ideas coming from peoples inner world. A much better basket to pick your ideas from.
