Samsung using Apple strategy
Samsung's new ads are pretty clever. The theme is "The Next Big Thing" saying that the hype around iPhone is not such a big deal. Samsung is the new leader. The phone for the trendy people looking for individuality. It's a reuse of Apple's strategy used against Microsoft and Windows as a positioning element.
4 to 5 is a small step

It's beginning to be rather boring. The new iPhone looks like iPhone 4. Not bad but same of same. Apple need to present something new, make a change. Besides that I find Android to be more user friendly, playful, and modern (seen from the outside) than iOS, which is kind of stuck in its own mold.
Apple has become a dogmatic design promotor. Previously they where a free spirit challenging a rational linear Windows world. The decreasing dominance of Microsoft can be an explanation. Apple lack a fixed point for its preachings.
